Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am considering doing another consecration to Mary. My first was 16 years ago and it seems like I am being called to this again.

What is your favorite method or book?

A friend and I are going to begin the process of consecration to Mary on the 19th, Betsy. We are using the book 33 Days to Morning Glory which was recommended by our priest. Honestly, as I read it in preparation, I'm not sure I like it as much as using True Devotion. It almost seems like a short cut so I worry about whether or not it will take . Silly, I know!

I really liked 33 Days to Morning Glory, but I, too, felt it was a little light even though I preferred its meditations. So, I made a bookmark with the suggested daily prayers from Louis de Montford (what are they? Ave MAris Stella, Litany to the Holy Spirit, and another?). That way, I could use the book for its meditations but add in the more formal prayer of the other methods I'd used in the past.

That is something along the lines of what I was thinking as well, Lindsay. I didn't think of making a bookmark though. Great idea!

I was considering the 33 Days to Morning Glory book, but after I read some of the reviews on Amazon, many came to the same conclusion as you all did!

I am looking, with great interest, at these books right now that have been translated by Casimir Valla.

Marian Devotion Series
