Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Frederic Chopin

The best piano performer is Anton Rubinstein for Chopin in my husband's opinion. One could get a favorite Chopin CD but much is lost with poor renditions.

Nocturnes

Op. 9, No.2 in E flat

      48   &nbs p;  1 in C Minor my dh's favorite

      55   &nbs p;  1 in F Minor

Overall Decent CD

Grande Valse (Waltz) brillante op. 18 should be in B Major.

Fantaisie Impromptu Op 66 should be in C sharp minor

Polonaise In A Flat Major, Op. 53

Ballade In G Minor, Op. 23

Waltz In C Sharp Minor, Op. 64 No.2

Polonaise In A Major, Op. 40 No. 1 'Military'

Etude In C Minor, Op. 10 No. 12 'Revolutionary'

My husband has completely taken over the composer of the month . He a great pianist and loves music more than I do. I'm grateful to him for doing this for me. He's better at it. Hurray!

I heard on the radio last week the "Raindrop Prelude" by Chopin (real name, Opus 28, No.15 in D-flat major) and thought this was a lovely one to present to children, as through the music they could visualize the raindrops and beat out the rhythm of the rain.
