Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone with a child with learning disabilities ever requested special accommodations in contests or other judging? My special needs son was judged so harshly at county fair last year when we did not request any special help. He was 15 and a big boy and the judges expected way more of him than he could give. This year I want to request special accommodations for him, but I am not sure how to word this. He looks normal enough, but doesn't understand when people are talking to him and often doesn't understand the question asked. I am not sure what to ask for besides compassion!
