Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am just loving my P50 I am trying to find plastic front covers and some kind of back cover to make our notebooks sturdier and nicer looking. Please share what 8.5 x11 covers that will work with the p50. Also whether it is best to buy from Amazon or elsewhere?

Hmmm... I can't find exactly what I ordered from Amazon.

For sure I got these black covers for special things like planners that I make for the kids that get used daily all year. But I didn't get them at Staples. However, they have been great.

I got 5ml covers from both Amazon and My Binding for the rest of my "books." I use one of these sheets with paper for the front cover and then a piece of cardstock and another sheet for the back. Sometimes I use cardstock for the front too.

These are not them, but it was this type of thing. It's been two years since I've ordered so I'm sure some merchandise has changed.

I love my Proclick binder too!

Thanks Maryan. I did a lot of binding today and will add some covers when I find them.

I haven't bought covers yet. I use colored card stock which I print the title and stuff or sometimes laminate the card stock and then bind it. Laminating means the cover is a bit wider than the rest of the book, but I like that.

Thanks for the tip Jenn. What laminator do you use? My year old, well used Xyron is coming to the end of its life.

Nothing fancy. Scotch Thermal Laminator 2 Roller System (TL901)

I've been pleased with it.

I know this thread has links to Proclick covers I bought. Like Maryan though, it's been awhile since I've ordered.

A clear plastic cover with a piece of heavyweight cardstock behind it gives rigidity to a book. I like clear covers on most books, and I use a black or navy blue plastic back cover.

If the book is small enough and uses a thin proclick binding, I usually just use cardstock for my cover.

In general the heavier weight the plastic cover (higher mil), the sturdier/more rigid your cover will be. Any presentation covers work and so do transparencies, but transparencies tend to be lighter weight...so less rigid overall (though less expensive). They don't need to be prepunched.

I use cardstock for most covers, but for things that I need to last a long time I just laminate the cover with a 5 mil laminating pouch. I do need to cut off the excess plastic around the edge so that it fits well in the Proclick, but the covers then hold up very well.
