Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I would like to put our nature posters and maps in frames for our dining room/schooling room and wonder if anyone has found a very inexpensive source for them or some creative way of framing posters?

We always use frames from Ikea, but you'd have to have one near you for that to work!

What about yard sales, or thrift shops?

(See I now know the American words )

Katherine and Erin - YES! I have thought about both of those things. I would love to make a trip to IKEA (1.5 hours away), but not sure I can justify the gas hauling all my kiddos in the van - plus I am 2 weeks away from my due date IKEA trips seem to be a great way to throw oneself into labor!    I may just get mama bird nesting enough to make the trip...

Beforehand, though, I am going to check out our thrift stores. Maybe the hunt will be fun... I was hoping to just order/pick up exactly what I need, but I may just need to be patient. Did I mention I am nesting?!?!

Earlier this year I read this post on using skirt/pants hangers for hanging posters.

It's been a very useful idea for hanging the picture study artwork I bought a couple of years ago and then never used. Particularly as it's easy to rotate the pictures.

IKEA used to have nice natural wood frames for a good prices; now they are all painted in funky bright colors which I am sure work great for some things, but NOT for the purposes I personally want. I so want to make my own.
