Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Joann, I don't even really know you, but having been around the boards for several years I have greatly benefited from your words and your blog. Your health struggles (physical and emotional) have given me courage in my times of need. Just knowing that I am not alone in my struggles is so helpful and comforting! We are not aware of all those that benefit from our life, but God uses each up and down on this roller coaster for His glory. Even this tumultuous time gives rise to greater good as those of us in the background absorb the prayers and the knowledge that we are in a community that supports one another. I pray that you will keep clinging to His words and allow His will to guide your path.

I'll be praying for you.

Joann, I'm glad you came forward. You are surrounded by friends and family and loved very much. You touch so many, and do so much. I'm glad you are feeling better! I have not stopped praying for you, because I know depression is such a long journey.

Joann,

I echo what Lara said.... I have often been so inspired by how you deal with so many challenges, and the courage it takes to live out your vocation so generously. I am sure the pain can be almost unbearable sometimes.

I was praying for you throughout the other prayer thread ---without knowing who you were, I hesitated to write anything, not knowing quite what would help.

I will continue to pray, especially that you find support and companionship close to home, and that you feel the presence of God in your life even at the worst times.

It's too bad we don't all live closer to each other, but at least on this board we can pray for and speak to each other!

Oh Joann!!! I'm so glad our prayers helped. And even gladder that you're getting help and support where you are. I came back in here tonight to check that thread and saw this first. Continuing to keep you in prayer.

Just wanted to let you know I have still been praying for you, and will continue to do so. I haven't had time to post, and finally have a chance. I just wanted to send you a big . Willa put it perfectly, your witness of how you live out your vocation, in spite of so many challenges is inspiring to us all. Keep your chin up, Joann, and know we are all here for you. I will keep you in my prayers as often as I think of you!
