Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

So long ago, looking at my list and guessing perhaps I meant the Legend of the Easter Egg??      but not sure. I'll have to get out my box and refresh my memory.

While these are still readable, I didn't keep some of the these titles and end up not reading some just because I have to made adaptations in the text or there is just a more Protestant feel to the books:

Legend of the Easter Egg is one. The others on this thread:

The Easter Story by Carol Heyer

The Very First Easter by Paul L. Maier

Journey to Easter by Carolyn Bergt

It's just personal preference.

Here are just a few picture books for the younger set (say preschool to around 3rd grade) that our family has enjoyed over the years:

*He Is Risen: The Easter Story
*Easter Eggs for Anya: A Ukrainian Celebration of New Life in Christ (Traditions of Faith from Around the World)
*Michael Hague’s Family Easter Treasury
*Easter by Fiona French
*The Birds’ Gift: A Ukrainian Easter Story
*Petook: An Easter Story

You might find a few more not already mentioned here from our family's Lenten book basket for this year.
