This is such a sweet story of a old woman who does not like pumpkins because she had to eat so many one month when she was young and it was all they had to eat. Through a series of lively events, she ends up with a yard full of pumpkins which she bakes into pumpkin treats and carves into jack-o-lanterns to share with her neighbors.

My boys have asked for this every day since we first read it.

This is one of our favorite Autumn books!! I found a video of it AND the book on tape at the library, and they've listened/watched it a zillion times this year!

Is the video a cartoon with the pics from the book?
