Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Forgive me if this has already been covered. I did a quick search but didn't find a list - has anyone come across a chronological list of history picture books? I have found lists of chapter books, but would like to incorporate more picture books into our study of history. We have come across several that we've loved so far, but I was hoping there may be a list already compiled that we could use as a guide.

Diana -- here's a site I have bookmarked, A Book in Time that has picture books mixed in with chapter books (there's a key for reading level). That might help.....

Elizabeth had a great list for American history in the files section on the old yahoo group site. I posted it before here My boys loved it and I plan on using it again this year as well as following what is going on at Serendipity.

I have been browsing through this site, and what a gem!
I am using Sonlight this year and this will add nicely to it for the younger kids.

Cay also has many picture books listed for different historical time periods in A Picture Perfect Childhood.
