Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

and ..and prayers that I do not reach the turning point for a while.. (even though on a 100 degree day it WOULD be nice for everyone to get in their carseats right away....)

Boy, can I relate. Prayers for all at "the turning point." It's tough.

(lather, rinse, repeat)

Oh, my. What a range of emotion that brings up. I was lamenting just yesterday about the carseats and the potty chair. This is a great reminder to just try to enjoy even the messy stuff... time's slipping by so quickly. Thanks for posting that!

Oh boy. She summed up how I have been feeling since the beginning of the year. We had a huge year as far as monumental birthdays. My two oldest turned 10 and my oldest daughter turned 5. Those were big deals to me and made for bittersweet feelings. It occurred to me that I have now "had" my boys longer than I will have them from here on out. In 8 years (and not a moment sooner!!) they will be off to college. Let's not even talk about driving!

My youngest will be 2 in August and by this time both of her sisters were out of the crib (we had climbing issues). Saragh (yes, that's how we spell her name!) hasn't even shown the slightest interest in climbing out which I am thankful for. It occurred to me that when she leaves her crib, there will be no more babies to put in it. We have taken it down between babies before, but it always went back up for the next one. When we put it up this time, we won't get it back out for many years until there is a grandbaby to put in it. I still have the infant car seat that all three girls used because I can't bear to give it up! My dh thinks I'm nuts!

Thanks for sharing this, I think I'll go get out the baby books now!

Blessings,
Betsie
