Dear friends,
I had given up message boards for Lent, but I need to pop in here and ask for your prayers.
2 weeks ago, I had a positive pregnancy test. Today, I'm cramping and bleeding.  I had a sonogram this morning where I saw a sac, but no baby, however, it's still rather early. I also had blood drawn and am waiting for the doctor to call me back with the results. By my calculations, I'm about 6 weeks pregnant.
I've never miscarried before, so this is new for me. Usually, I'm very excited about a new pregnancy and eager to share the news, but I felt a lot more reserved about it this time.
Could you say some prayers for my family and I? My 8yod and my dh are especially upset.
I'll update when I know more, but I don't think things look very good at this point.

Hi Dawn,
I joined your weblogspot a few weeks ago. You might recall I asked to be "invited" to enter your Water Into Wine website, as you had blocked it for a few days.
Today, I happen to go on to see if anything was new. I can't remember what time I was reading your post there about your announcement of your recent pregnancy and the joy I sensed in your words. I remember the due date being Oct. 16 b/c that's my brother-in-law's birthday!
Anyway, I'm heartbroken to hear about the cramping and bleeding only hours after I read your blog, but I am also hopeful in this situation that you find yourselves in today. My husband and I (and our two young ones) will pray the Joyful Mysteries tonight at bedtime.
We will offer up this Rosary to Our Mother Mary, Jesus, and ultimately to God's throne. We pray His peace brings you all comfort to your souls!!!
Please rest in Christ and Mother Mary tonight! Peace! Peace! Peace be with you and your family.

Dear friends,
Thank you so much for your prayers and kind words.
I spoke to my doctor tonight and he said that my hormone levels are "extremely low." He also said that the sonogram technician should have been able to see a fetal pole in the gestational sac during the sonogram given how far along I am (and I am VERY sure of when this baby was conceived, so I know that I'm not off on the dates). I'm going to have more blood drawn tomorrow, but the doctor thinks that I am miscarrying.
Anyway, I'm pretty sad tonight. I had just finished reading All-of-a-Kind-Family to my little girls and was hoping for another little girl to add to our all-of-a-kind troupe of girls.
