Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Gifts of the Magi

Metropolitan Museum of Art

Gifts MAgi, Gold, Frankincense, Myrrh, Three Kings, Christmas

Magi

This is not a true "picture" book but a neat little book with some great pictures, packed with info about the Magi. I think it would appeal to all ages. It comes with small samples of gold, frankincense and myrrh,, a real wow factor for the little ones. I think it added a lot for the kids to handle an example of the gifts.

I totally agree! I bought this last year. It's a miniature book with the "gifts" and just terrific. The information on the Magis and gifts is very interesting. I learned quite a few new things. And we used the gifts in our procession and house blessing.

My mother gave this to us several years ago and my children have loved processing with the "real gifts." This year, , I forgot to take them out of the pile of Christmas storage boxes, and when the time for the procession at home came on the Epiphany, I didn't have enough time to go through all the boxes and find them...we substitued other gifts. The children missed the "real gifts" and I took a mental note to take this book out of the storage bin right away next year.

Thanks, Melinda!

Love,
