Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ok, interesting note for those who are more visual! Joanna Bogle has a DVD on Feasts and Seasons. I found it at an Australian online book store, so I'm sure it would be available in the US?

I must say, I love Joanna Bogle's Book of Feasts and Seasons

Dawn, does this book have pictures?

No, just a few sketches.

Her TV series has been aired on EWTN. Looks like the last one is airing today at 2:30 p.m.!

I was also referring to the Book of Feasts and Seasons. Didn't realize there was a new book out. I'll have to look for that!

Peace,
Nancy

Wow! My wish list is getting longer and longer! I have A Year With God from CHC but I don't use it as much as I thought I would. I mostly go to web sites like Catholic Culture. I'm hoping to get one of the books mentioned above but now I can't decide which one!! Any recomendations for someone who loves to plan big things but in reality only has time for the small simple things, like a coloring page, simple prayer with the kids, or easy tea time treat?

Dawn,
Can you tell me how much of the Bogle book is a cookbook? We have so many food allergies...

I found out that the new "Yearbook" is a completely updated and larger version of the old Feasts and Seasons.

Thanks for telling me about this author!

ck,
There are recipes scattered throughout the book, but it is not a 'recipe book' per say...it is loaded with wonderful information about the liturgical year. Joanna Bogle writes beautifully, as though she is having a conversation with you.

Have you looked at the beautiful colouring pages of Fenestrae Fidei (the colouring comapanion for Catholic Mosaic)? Even my 13yodd loves them.
