Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hey folks! I just embedded a video of Libby's recent orchestra concert on my blog. It's a fun and fast performance of the "Overture" from Candide. I thought I'd share it with all of you (I did not make the recording, and you can't see Libby, but the sound is pretty good). Enjoy!

Ack! I tried to watch it and forgot that my speakers are broken.    Luckily, Bill's laptop has working speakers so this can be an afternoon treat!

Lovely, Macbeth! We can't hear her solo very well though -- it could be our speakers...

Thanks, Stef...It's not your speakers...the solo is just a tiny part of the whole piece . I only wish the mom who taped it (mom of the excellent flute soloist!!) had taped Appalachian Spring, too. Then you would have really been able to hear Libby's solo parts. But it's sometimes hard to hear with a whole orchestra playing .

So exciting that Cecilia asked for "seconds"!
